- It seems like Breyers makes adjustments to their look about once every other year. Their new packaging has clean lines and less going on; a simpler look. The ice cream scoop is what stands out on the black canvas. It cries "Peach" even though the letters of the print that spell the flavor are small and pushed off to the side. I still knew what I was getting! Breyers All Natural Peach; about seven ingredients.
Upon opening, the ice cream looked airy and it proved to be so. The ice cream was creamy and disguised as possibly vanilla, but upon taste, IMPACT! This was peach ice cream with peach chunks, no doubt! The peach flavor came from peaches, not the chem lab. The chunks of peach were spread out and not evenly distributed (or even-sized). My biggest excavation was a peach ice cube about 3/4 inch but most were about 1/4 inch. The bottom line is that the flavor was right throughout the ice cream and the peaches were good and extra sweet.
- Kris is trying to kill me. She knows I don't do fruit and she still picks Breyers Peach ice cream for us to rate.
Despite my general dislike for most things fruit, the packaging for Breyers Peach ice cream does look peachy and tempting. After opening the container, I could see one large chunk of peach and several smaller pieces.
The ice cream certainly had a peach taste, but I didn't really care for the slight aftertaste it left. And each chunk of peach gave an explosion of peach flavor.
If I liked peaches, I think I'd REALLY like Breyers Peach ice cream. As it is, I'll give it a cone up because I was able to at least eat several spoonfuls without dying.
